Networking Coastal Web Atlases to Address Regional Scale Issues
Presentation on Networking Coastal Web Atlases to Address Regional-Scale Issues: Lessons from the West Coast and the Great Lakes by David Hart of Wisconsin Sea Grant and Tanya Haddad of the Oregon Coastal Management Program (December 6, 2011). Using the Oregon and Wisconsin Coastal Atlases as models, this webinar presents methods and best practices for developing an interoperable coastal atlas that can integrate local data as well as become a component of a networked regional coastal atlas. The webinar also highlights the interoperability activities of the International Coastal Atlas Network (ICAN), including plans to expand use cases for networked coastal atlases from coastal erosion to coastal and marine spatial planning, water quality, and climate adaptation/hazards resilience.
